Please ID this Nigerian Cichlid...

Hi guys!
I caught this cichlid in a lake in Nigeria - West Africa.
It's a really nice looking fish.

Any ideas what species it could be?
Its about 4in long.
It has a great big head.
It almost looks like a Parachromis to me but I'm in Nigeria.

My first thought was also H fasciatus, AKA the 5 star general/banded jewel cichlid.

I think it's a hemichromis Fasciatus due to the red belly. The Hemichromis Elongatus aka 5 tar general has a is completely different looking. You can tell them apart at 1"

H. Frempongi are endemic to Lake Bosumtwi in Ghana.

Correct.

H. Fasciatus and H. Elongatus are west african cichlids. These fish aren't typically found in the same stretch of water as the Fasciatus would kill the Elongatus.
