It's aimara for sure. If it's from a reputable seller than I'd believe it. The color will always vary a bit.

It could be a vnz variant. Color is off and probably stressed. Top looks like it scraped the top of the body and face took a hit.
 
i just put him in the tank and took that pic after 2 min... it wasnt from a local fish store i had it ordered and picked it up from the airport... so it was stressed from a 6 hr flight...
 
It looks like a VNZ variant that's all I can say. This is more gray. The Suriname is a bit more brown when small. But if it's form a trusted source then wouldn't worry.
 
Pellets, shrimp, silversides, earthworms, tilapia etc etc.
