IMG_1092.JPG IMG_1096.JPG I just orphaned 7 fish from a man who is moving away, he told me they were all red blood parrot cichlids, but 2 don't meet the criteria, one is matte black (entire body) but still has the beak shaped mouth like the other parrot cichlids, and the other has the same characteristics as the others, but has black dorsal fins and black spots. I looked online and they say that I could be black spot disease, but when I put him in a new tank, new water, he still has the black pigment. Can someone please identify my fish? Thanks

Blood parrots are line bred mutations, not a true species, and thought to be mutations of the genus the Amphilophus genus, probably midas or red devils, so different color variations would be quite normal for the descendants of at genus.
