Please identify this fish...

I'm trying to find out what kind of fish this is. He's around 8" head to tail. Don't know if he's a rhom, altuvie, compressus or something else.

im no expert on piranhas but that looks like what i think is called a black piranha. i think that might be one because the snout protrudes like a black piranha. the red color threw me off though so someone correct me if im wrong. maybe its a juvenile

Shape of the head does kind of look like a compressus, however the terminal band on the tail isn't dark enough.
I'm going to say rhombeus also.
