I have no idea what that is but that is really weird looking bug of somesort

Sorry just had to comment on that pic Good luck

Its a predatory Dragonfly larvae. Could possibly eat your fish.

i forget the exact name of it. they are normally found around dead plants in shallow natural ponds. it is a water insect and id highly recomend removing it from your tank. if you have plants, itll kill them all. at night time itll attack your fish. and plus they eventually leave the tank and transform into something with wings. cant remember what it is. been a long time since ive messed with those guys. all i know is you dont want to mess with that thing whatsoever.

ill look it up soon and get better info for you. its in a book i own somewhere

It's a damselfly larvea. I find them in my tank sometimes. They are predators and eat other aquatic insects. They may eat fry but are usaully not harmful to fish unless they are small.

Guys how do you keep it out or maybe find it? I was able to destroy 2 nymphs but in thr process, had to takeout almost all my plants :(

My fish eat them so I'm not worried about them.
