Please identify this shovelnose

Hi all,

I have been told this is a spotted sorubim, as I cannot find anything about it please could anyone give an identity to it

What you have there is a soribumichthys planiceps. Cool cats, but be prepared as they can get to 5 feet in length. You can find out more here: s. planiceps

That's a firewood catfish (Sorubimichthys planiceps). These cats get really long (5 feet) but, stay very slim and never weigh much. Awesome pickup.
