My friend sent me a photo of wolf. Help me to id. this wolf please. i do not have under jaw picture. i have only one shot that posted. If you see only this picture, which species of wolf is most likely?...... thank you

Not Aimara Wolffish, they have a oval shape black spot on the operculum(gill cover's center fleshy rear edge, in the center where the lateral line starts). I pretty much agree with the guys above. It looks like it's wild caught at a large size from an area where there are plenty of piranha. Caudal fin is bitten off on the bottom in a circular fashion.
this fish was caught from venezuala. and export from columbia. i am not sure this river has lacerdae.

Only problem is max size via fishbase doesn't jive - BUT I've also seen them say Lac max weight is 4 KG.... lol
