please identify this wolffish

My friend in Thailand ask me what kind of this wolffish. He did not have any the picture showed the under part of its mouth. In my opinion, Its shape look like H. curupira. But it did not have any black strap along the body. My friend told me, this wolf show this color all time. It is malabalicus???? i do not think like that, because the shape of the head is unlike the malabalicus's. and the pattern on the scale is differnt from the Malabalicus's, that 's like a fish bone. I am not sure that the black spot at the operculum is the same presented on the Aimara???? But the shape is not looklike the Aimara.
Please help me for some idea of this wolf.........Thank you

I'm not either, only other chance is of it being a Lacerdea sp Hoplias

I've seen a lot of these being fished in videos all were named giant trairao as well but these were light colored elongated body + that dot on the gill. I also see them catch aimaras in the same vid & they were short body pitch black. Very interesting hope the wolf experts get on this. All the wolves being caught were 3' +.
