..in an octopus' garden in the shade:)
I couldn't help myself....it was so tiny and only $6.99, so I brought it home. What kind is it? I have it in my planted 29gal for now, how long until it gets 6"? I'm feeding Beefheart, VHP, and SpectraMax flakes....sound ok? Will it do ok without any other P-bass with it?

add some live food and 6" in 2-3 months

cant really make out which one

you should still give it guppies at that size, and keep your water perfect, that will help it grow to 6" in no time

thanks... right now this guy is smaller than a guppy, but maybe soon he can eat one. Definitely a cool fish!

He is stressed. Could be a tem stressed from the body shape but time will tell. You can keep him in that tank til about 6-8" probably but remember keep the temp high around 84-86. When he gets bigger IMO live food will help him grow the quickest. You might also try bloodworms at his small size.
 
It's diet sounds pretty good. Some live food would definitely make him grow quicker.
