Hi guys,
this is my new flowehorn fish.
He is about 4 inches
Will he get good colors as he grow?
I brought him home 2 weeks ago.
He is a bit shy, He will come up at feeding time only!
he wouldn't chase my fingers otherwise. Is this normal ?(may hide under a wood piece)

A to F he gets a "D-" from me until he finishes fading and fill in he might get a "C+" because the fins and other features stops him from getting a. "A"(FROM ME ONLY)

Flower Horn will always look better as adults then they do as young juveniles. Feed him a heathy diet of NLS or Hikari and two or three times a week you can throw in some frozen bloodworm as a treat. If you have had him for 2 weeks and he is still acting shy check your water conditions. If your water conditions are not right that can cause him to act skittish. Whats your PH? Nitrates? Temperature?

He was very timid and hid when i am around,
So i returned him to the LFS and brought another home
This one is very smart, follows my finger, jumps out to take the pellets from my hand!
Here is the pic, not sure male or female, Can you guys tell?

Some flowerhorn's take time to adjust to their new tanks, a few days of skittishness is not uncommon. Personally, I would of stuck it out to see the 1st guy fade. But the other looks decent as well. Your lucky the lfs let you swap, hope this ones a keeper for you. Enjoy...
