I have had my Jardini for two months now. He is about 8" long TL.
He is active and eats well and lives by himself in a 5' 120 gallon.
A couple of weeks after I got him I noticed a white spot dead center on one of his eyes. It was the size of a largish ich spot, and this is what I assumed it was. I treated with one dose of PolyGuard and then just relied on clean , warm water to help it go away.
But it hasn't gone away. So it has now been around for about six weeks. Last night I looked at it closely and saw, while the jar was looking straight at me, that the spot is inside the eye. It is inside the lens part of the eye.
What is this? I have heard of worms getting inside the eye of a pike cichlid. Is this possible?
