I was referred to this site by crashinc25, from another fish site, Cyphos.com. He was telling me what a great site this is and how many more members there are. Holy Crap was he right! Anyway, he suggested I post this here to get added support for my daughter from this wonderful fish community.

Crashinc25 told me that people on this site are very supportive, as are all fish communities! I have a daughter, age 6, who has been and is still suffering from Juvenile Rheumatoid arthritis since she was 18 months of age. I have to give her two shots per week with medicine to help her be able to "be a kid." Without it, she is in pain and can't do what other kids do!

Every Spring there is a fundraising effort to raise awareness and money for research for arthritis. She was the Walk Honoree last year and her team raised around $5000! She wants to do better this year, and really get this disease recognized the way it should be. You can go to this site for more information, see pictures, and make a donation.

We all know someone with arthritis, so please take a mintue to check it out. There is a link in the upper right side of the page to pass it on. So please make a donation if you can, pass the page on to family and friends. It is all for a great cause, fighting arthritis, finding cures, and helping kids, and adults who suffer like my daughter.

Thanks for your help and support!

Brian

That sounds unimaginably painful! Both of my parents have arthritis, I'm most likely going to develop it. We are already members of that organization and make regular donations. I hope your daughter is able to be cured of her arthritis.

Welcome to MFK!!!

will go there and check it out and learn more about it..really hope for cure some day especially for the young who suffer..

It is very difficult to little ones, especially when they are so young they can't tell you the ache and hurt. Also, they never knew anybetter because they grow up with this pain.

Yer it is really sad one of my firends has it had it since he was born in his lower body he locks up at random and is always getting needles has to go in a wheel chair every now and agian one time he woke up and his toes were swollen and had to have heaps of needles in his toes i don't think i have it might do in my right leg i ave always had problems with it getting worse:( but yer it is really horrible to have.

This is a terrible thing to have to deal with. My grandparents had it, my father-in-law has it, and I'm not doubting I will as well since I already have arthritis pains as is. A guy I work with's wife has a full blown case, getting the same shots you give your daughter. My wife and I, as well as her parents, are supporters of this cause with obvious reasons. We do the walks here and help out where we can. I feel for your daughter for having to deal with it, and you for having to see her go through it. :( Good luck!
