Please recommend Algea wafer that don't stink?

I was so happy to find my green phantom plecos. I have been dropping in Hikari algea wafers before I go to bed and they have stunk up the water so bad my wife is about to tell me to get rid of the tank. I can barely stand it my self. Can anyone recommend algae wafers for plecos that don't smells.

The food I feed my other fish in the tank is frozen mysis, frozen brine with spirulina, NLS sinking pellets, flakes. once a week I will add green vegetables like zuchini, pees, squash. so maybe I can get away with not using pellets.
 
I was going to say try more fresh veggies. Not sure you can cut algae wafers out of the diet because I think they would still be a good suppliment but maybe cut back a bit so it smells a bit less? Carbon also absorbs smell if you add some to your filter your water wont smell
 
I have carbon in my canister but it is 6 months old maybe I need to switch it out?
 
Ya carbon can only absorb so much before it needs to be replaced. Keep up on fresh carbon and keep the wife happy haha
 
Any recommendations on wafers?
 
Hikari for bottom dwellers orange package doesnt smell. Hikari sinking carnivore maroon stinks badly. Dont know about the green pack for algae, mine have always eaten the orange.
