Please Sex My Blue Acara

Does anyone here know how to sex blue acaras? Here is a pic of mine who is about 3 inches right now. I think it is a male, but I would like to hear what everyone else thinks.....

Thats a stunner of an acara much bluer than my 4 1/2inch male what do you feed him?
i would say that is a male due to anal and dorsal fin extensions

Thanks The funny thing is.....I found him at Petsmart. I feed him a variety of foods: Omega One Cichlid Pellets, bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, and veggie flakes. I have also heard that the orange on the dorsal is indicative that it is a male, but I am not sure if that is true....

It can be true I find that females have the orange but it is a thin pale line as a posed to a think bright orange line of a male.

any chance of a tank shot and what do you keep him with?

Here is a pic of the tank; however it has changed a lot since then. I took out a lot of the driftwood and added more plants. Right now I keep him with Angels, Bolivians, Rainbows, Burmese Border Loaches, a King Tiger Pleco, a BN Pleco, and a male Hongsloi Cichlid.

Nice tank i have my blue acara with a gt,keyhole,bolivan,t-bar,severum,oscar,festivum,spotted perch,polyterus enlicheri,polyterus senegalus and a syno.
And suprisingly the blue acara is boss

lol, mine is the boss too. I had planned to move mine in with my 6 inch severum, but since my severum has proved himself to be incapable of sharing his tank with other cichlids, my blue acara has to stay where he is.

I would put money on it being male. He is a cracker, absolutly stunning!

Thanks! I can't wait for him to put on a little size. I've had him for about four months now and I'd say he's grown about an inch. I couldn't believe that I actually found him at Petsmart when I had been looking at all the local LFS and had no luck, lol.
