Is this a male or female Grammodes?

From what I can see of the vent, I would say male.

it is a male, only males would have red coloration on the body scales very nice...but they grow so slow

Interesting....

I was told female when i bought it but i've suspected it to be male from the start.
Also its growing a lot faster than the other 2 in the tank and i read somewhere that males do grow much quicker
Is this true?

males do grow alot faster than females but for gramodes they just grow slow period

I can see some spots below the lateral line but not many, may be something with lighting on the pics....jimmy does he have red dots across his body or does it lack below the lateral line?
