please sex my jag if you can..

hey guys

just got 2 new jags around 15-20cm. apparently from the same tank but were in seperate tanks at the store. got them home and one absolutely smashed the other. i was able to take the smashed one back. but am curious as to what the sex is of this one. if they were a pair i would have expected a bit of fighting and liplocking, but to the point that one had skin hanging off it everywhere?

looks like a male to me too.. but the only positive ID is to vent them,This one has a male pattern on him though so i am leaning this way

i don't think you have to vent that one to know its a male. and jags will be jags, they're very territorial animals

Thanks. Yea i thought as much. My original plan was to buy one small and grow him up with my other fish but i got a bit too impatient when i saw these guys. Hes ready killed my syndontis. but i knew the cinsequences when i put him in there
