Please Sex My Keyholes

Im just wondering if I ended up with a pair or not. Sorry about picture quality. One has darker coloration than the other...and the one that is lighter has some nice shades of different colors. I cannot tell by their dorsal fins for sure but ones a LITTLE rounder than the others.

any help is apprecitated!

The first shot is at an odd angle, but does look like male top, female bottom. Second pic seems female-ish. On my female keyholes, the anal fin never reached the middle of the caudal fin, where on males it tended to exceed it.

Ok...so from what youre saying, the female is the pale one. will 36 gallons be enough for them in the long run? or will i need to move them into a bigger community? also since they always together does that just add to it that theyre a pair? or would two males or two females act like that?

Not sure on their social behavior but I agree with Darth as to the sex.

It's a little hard to tell but both look female to me. My pair used to both display the colors of the top fish when the ph rose.

Oddly enough I was just thinking, I wonder if I should point out how... strange the title sounds. But then I figured, naw, I'll just get called immature. hehe

Aw wow they're so pretty. When I got my centrarchus, this was the tank I was going to do, but I didn't want to redo my tank for plants. They're gorgeous. Love the tank!
