Please sex these jags

I got five jags ranging from 2 1/2" to 3 3/4" that i need to determine their sex. i'm planning on selling three these once i confirm a male and female jag.

pics are kinda unfocused and i rushed it since it's 3am here.

They're too small for me to sex...you'd have to let them grow a few more inches.

how about the two bigger ones they're almost 4"

nice jags but theres no way the two bigger ones are 4" by the looks of the pics id say 3" max and still too small to sex

would it be safe to assume they are male since they are significantly bigger than the other three

Yeah.. let them pair up (the best way). For now, don't worry about it unless they start killing each other or something.

i agree with letting them pair up! i had a jag and it wasnt until he was alot bigger that we could really tell that he was a male! beautiful fish you got there btw!

Jags are tougher to sex until they're bigger. Generally males will have more spotting and a purple hue to them. While females generally have less spotting. BUT there are times that males look female and vice versa. Venting or seeing the breeding tube are the only sure shot ways of telling.
