Pleco and Bichirs

I want to get a royal pleco, but I'm afraid it will harass my polys. Does anyone have a royal pleco with their polys? If not, what large plecos don't suck the slime off polys?

Theres no guarantee that any pleco will or will not develop a tase for slimecoat.Its just
some species have displayed a tendancy towards do it the Loricariidae and trichomycterid are most cited for this activity,while Ancistrus and Acanthicus seem to display this trait the least-Anne

i would be careful! i had a lda-31 take off some slime coat off my senegal.

I kept a mix of fancy plecos with my ornate poly and never had a problem.
