Hello all,

I will be getting either a 100g or 125g tank in the next month. I want to do a stocking of just 2 fish, one being a large(r) species and the second is completely open. My question is, what are the larger sizes that would fit, and what is a larger fish that wouldn't have an issue with it? Sorry for the broad question, but this will be my first venture into bigger fish as currently my biggest fish are Angelfish. Thanks!

Oscar and GT

So I did just end up buying the tank, it's a 110 Extra Tall.

Currently I am leaning towards a Sailfin Pleco, an Electric Blue Jack Dempsey and a standard Jack Dempsey

Dempeseys might fight?

Yeah, I was thinking a male EBJD and a female Standard, but I may just do the single EBJD, the Sailfin, and leave it at that unless there is one other decent sized thing that would work with those 2.

Honestly I would do a whole ton of colorful fish.
But if you want big and aggressive why not do a GT community? They look really cool and there are a couple guys on this forum that have GT communities

I enjoy Aquariums for my PTSD. I like to sit and just watch them to help with anxiety. I have a tank with a Mating pair of Black Angelfish, BN Pleco, and Clown Pleco and I love to watch it. I have a 10g with a Betta that I love to watch. I have a 40g breeder that I am setting up as a community tank, but I really like the few fish to focus on which is why I want something bigger, but not community. Although I do plan to pick up a 75g before long that will be an mbuna cichlid tank.

Nix the pleco and get a couple of oscars if you want relief from PTSD...they are super personable and are like little water dogs
So I've been looking into Oscars since they were suggested, and I have to admit they are pretty cool. I'm really starting to lean that way. I would still try with the Pleco and hope that they would be good, but I have places to move it if they don't.
