I've lost 2 pleco's in as many weeks, 1 was a female L183 (1.5") and the other was a female common bristlenose (3"). Both were perfectly healthy one day and then they next day laid upside down in the tank with a severe skin abrasion, both in the same place too (on the side of the fish)

In the tank other than the 2 losses I have: A male bristlenose (4"), a male L183 (1.5"), a pair of L066's (2.5"), 10x young albino bristlenose (1") and a handful of guppies.

Unfortunately i didn't take a pic of the wounds, would anyone be able to advise of what could be the problem? If i have something in there that shouldn't be mixed or something?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Just an update for anyone who has the same problem...

It was suggested by plecoplanet that they have had a bacterial infection which caused the wounds and deaths, unfortunately today i lost my male bristlenose the same way too.

I have been advised to treat my tank with Melafix so hopefully i will stop the same happening to more of my fish.
