Pleco caves and what to use.

I have been wondering for a while if there might be a way to build caves for plecos that burrow in the banks. Now if that is what most plecos do then I mean the larger harder to spawn ones like the rhino. Any how what I was thinking was aexpanding foam cave wall set up. It would be dirty but then finding a way to put a clay ort dit in the cave to simulate a more natural habitat. Not sure if this would work or be kind of on the right track that is why I am bringing it to the experts.

I would have to say those type of plecos need to do the digging process to help activate the breeding process. So put lots of mud in the tank.

That is kind of what I was wandering. That is why I was thinking just fill the pre made holes with mud.

What substrate are you using?

I have not tried this yet but most of our plecos are on sand.
