After 2 months of removing my old pleco, I noticed some bad algae. After some attempted fixes, I got another bristlenose pleco. This one is a female, and 2". After 24 hours, the algae was pretty much 99% devoured.

The only downsides now, are that she is constantly digging on the right side back/front corners of the tank. I also noticed earlier, that she swam up to the outtake of my filter, and swam right up it, into the box itself where the media is at!

I dropped a small piece of carrot and broccoli in yesterday, but it hasn't been touched.

Any ideas? I don't want her to accidentally fall out when I'm not nearby.

I was suggested it may have been lack of hiding, so I created some.

Hopefully that'll deter her from going up there again.

I would attach a DIY plastic screen over the filter output, in your tank.

Make caves, and amp up the water flow. My pleco's live in a tank that cycles the entire volume about 20 times an hour. All of the flow is at the surface, but it creates enough current underneath, in their caves, that frequent spawning occurs. Also, adding more plants could be a good idea, and if you went that route, check out some Anubias varieties. And while I have tried just about every veggie on the market, Zucchini and Cucumber(though lacking in nutrients) were the most greedily devoured. Hope it helps :p
