I have a pleco that is around 7-8" and actually came with a 20 gal tank I purchased with a friend for our office. I moved it to my 55 gal at home due to its size. It is always hiding, unless it smells food and even then gets spooked very easy.
I would like to know what type of pleco I have and how large it may get? I can try and get a better pic tomorrow if needed.
Also, I recently went from gravel to sand and the amount of waste the pleco produces is unreal. I would see it in my gravel vac from the gravel, but now it sits on top of the sand.
What is the best way to vac this heavy waste out? It does not vac very easily like the waste from say my JD does.
