Pleco ID?

So I've had this bugger for a little while now and always thought him/her to be a common, but with so many variations out there that I was unaware of, I have suspicion that he/she could be something else. Any idea what he/she is?

Not a gibby. Most likely a Pterygoplichthys pardalis, I have that lighter colour morph often called 'Snowking'.

Looks to be it. Now is this any more expensive than a common LFS pleco?

Looks like a common to me, there's quite a few species they call 'common' though. Where you'd get him? If you got him at PetsMart or WalMart then he's a common.

not sure which plec your LFS calls commons, but in the UK, P. pardalis are the ones labelled commons

Variation on a common. Value would be based on size not species and even then it's probably won't be worth much.

Agreed. Commons arent worth much... Here in the U.S., i usually see big commons in the $25-$30 range.
