Need a little more info. Did you buy it? Gibbiceps or similar looks in the right region.
But it sounds kind of like it might have been spawned in your tank? Gibby is unlikely in that case, what else do you have?

It was bought as a Gibby, although that was a guess by the seller, I was looking for confirmation. Thanks. I also have a couple of oscars with him.
Nah, spots on an L001 don't typically join up into bands like that. They're usually just irregular small spots.
