Pleco in 500 Gallon

I want to put a pleco in my 500 gallon pond, but it has pond liner. Are plecos safe with pond liner?

Idk I have heard of them weakening the liner and overtime creating holes. Let me know how it goes

i have also herd that they can puncture pond liner but from personal experience i have never had this problem

the pet shop that i worked at in high school had a large indoor pond and that is where they had there large plecos (12+ inches) for sale, the pond has been set up and running for around 10 years now and no problems with them and the pond liner
