I have a 10" pleco in my 210 which I need to break down. I was going to throw him in the sump on the 750, but I was wondering if anyone keeps them in acrylic tanks. Will they scratch up the tank?

Depends on the pleco and what else is in the tank. Some people in the forum keep carnivous-type plecos in acrylic tanks; these types look for food in the gravel rather than rasping on the acrylic/glass. Those that are more herbivourous will eat the algae on the acrylic wall, and in the process scratch the acrylic. Then some folks have herbivorous plecos that like algae, but stay away from the tank wall for whatever reason. So there are some individual differences in the fish itself.

It sounds like you have a common pleco. At that size, they probably are more interested in pellets and are somewhat carnivorous, rather than algae. May be ok. I'll defer to someone who keeps commons.

I currently keep anL204 and L264 in an acrylic. I also let algae grow on the back panel and keep the front and sides clean. My 204 never clings to the glass(acrylic) and the 264 is only interested in areas with algae. Im sure there is some minor scratching going on on the back but i dont really notice.

Im having a 300 built and Ive decided to go acylic as well. Plan on moving the above in with some larger plecs, so we'll see how it goes. To me, the difference in weight, clarity and structural strength is not worth worrying about minor scratches....

I have most, if not all of my plecos in acrylic tanks. I've never seen an issue thus far.

as long as it isnt a royal pleco or something with teeth it will be fine.

I have a bunch of plecos in an 80 gallon Tru Vu plexi tank. The inside is covered with small scratches. I would put them in a glass tank if you want them to not destroy your tank. My plecos are small to medium. I have about ten 3" - 8" L114, two 8" violet brunos, one 8" vampire pleco, two 3" leopard frog plecos, and two 7" L152. There is a lot of driftwood in the tank. They are feed at least every other day and sometimes everyday. There diet is varied but you should see them attack the tilapia fillet.
