I have a Bushy Nose Pleco and i never see him come out he's ALWAYS hiding its a shame cause he is so pretty he has the only tank ATM are some cory cats the water quality's all good, my dad recently got pissed off that the piece of Mopani drift wood still leaches out a TINY bit of tannin in the water and chucked it in the trash when i was a school, is that affecting him? he was still always hiding with the driftwood? any help?:help2:

Have a BM in the 75g, never see him, I have to pull things out till I find him just to make sure he is still there. they are territorial and shy.

They are shy, especially if their environment has recently changed (pulling out the driftwood). Just make sure he's eating fine, has plenty of places to hide, and is not being bullied by any other fish. Give him time, and eventually, he may come out and roam around if he's comfortable enough. Don't get your hopes up too high tho.

Agree, just instinct

There pretty easy to keep IMO I got him at 1 inch 6 months ago and now he is full grown just make sure you have drift wood( I'm shopping for some since my dad threw to old one away!)

When you get a new piece of driftwood, make sure to boil the heck out of it before placing it in the tank. I do that with new pieces that I get. I usually keep boiling and emptying and boiling more water while soaking the wood for something like 3-4 hours.
