pleco + pair of convicts

im looking into getting a pleco to help clean my 30g that has a pair of cons in it. any advice on what size i should get or should i even get the pleco at all? the cons are about 2.5-3inches each.

Cons are pretty mean, and it's hard to say if you should get one. I would just go with the regular common or perhaps a gibby. If things don't turn out well, throw the pleco in your 100.

common plecos, including the gibby, reach anywhere from 12-24", depending upon the exact species and level of care. they are not suitable for the 30g tank. plecos don't eat poop, and they create a lot of it themselves, so even if you added one you would still have to get your gravel vac and clean the bottom of the tank regularly to remove feces. cut down on feeding so you don't have a lot of leftovers making a mess, and skip the pleco.

They aren't going to clean your tank, as plecos don't clean tanks... and I don't think they'd go well with a breeding pair of cons at all.

I once had three L001 with a bunch of convicts without any problem. (in a 90g)

A bristle nose would do a fine job, just make sure its got somewhere to hide that the Cons cant get at it.

The cons will NOT let him be in their when they have free swimming fry.

well thats not entirly true they let my plecos in the ship when fee swimming fry are present ???

i got a pair of cons and a baby bristle nose in the same tank and its a 10g tank
