i have a 6 inch normal pleco
ive had it for about 4 weeks
and for as long as ive had it
i havent seen it swim not one time
its either on the right side of my tank or on the top laying on my driftwood
whats his problem?
and how can i get em to swim around?

Plecos are almost always nocturnal (hard to observe) and stay attached to things pretty well. They don't "swim" around a whole bunch.

They are nocturnal. If you want to see them swim, look at your tank at night in the dark.

every pleco ive had started off being like that then after a while, as it become more comfortable they become more active during the day. My most recent is a watermelon and once i started giving him bloodworms during the day he became more active. Now he is out quite often crawling around and sucking on wood.
