I currently have an Albino Bristlenose that is perfectly healthy living in this tank. I have tried to add additional bristlenoses lately with no success. Last weekend I purchased an Orange Flash, emerald cory and a bristlenose to add to my tank. The Flash and the Cory are doing great, the bristlenose lasted about 24 hours... This weekend I wanted to try again with another pleco to accompany the albino that has been in the tank for two months. This bristlenose lasted for roughly the same amount of time. They have been active and behaving just like any other pleco would until all of a sudden, they are on their back barely breathing.
I have 14 other fish that are perfectly healthy. I can add other fish to the tank without incident. Is there something with my water conditions that the plecos don't like? If so, why is my albino healthy?
Please help!!!
