And a large bristle nose male...... Also it would be good if it was a good algae eater i have some brown algae that it needs to help clear up.... I don't want it to get to big about 8inches max was thinking about getting a female bristle nose but am finding it hard to find..... So i will leave it uo to you experts to give some advice!

There is a chance it might get bigger then 8 inches but that will take a while but have you thought of a Rhino pleco.

Sounds good especially with the high algae eater and looks good..... I think they may get to about 10th inches though do... Do you know roughly how fast they grow ....... Any other ideas?

Ive been looking for my first pleco also i suggest going to planetcatfish or somewhere like that and go through the profiles and find the one that you think best suits your tank and needs :) there are lots of profiles though :P but the info is fairly detailed so its good

Big centrals can be tough even on an armoured pleco. The smaller algae eaters would not last long with big centrals. Large common or adoniis or sailfin plecos will probally last longer with centrals but will not eat much algae espicially as they grow larger. Can;t beat your arm and old algae scrubber for algae though.

It grows so fast though..... I have to clean the glass everyday..... Its driving me mad! My central are all quite small around 4 inches..... Only 1 large vieja red head... Who lived with a flash pleco fir several years so will most prob be ok with some smaller peco ...... Someone near were i live has breed some bristelnose plecos but they are only an inch..... I might be able to get like 10 of them for cheep.... But i don't know if any will survive which would really upset me..... I don't think the breeder will grow them out any larger plus as i have 1 large male it could cause more problems...... I was thinking of a bulldog but i have never had one before..... Anyone think this could work?

Why not try a female bristle nose pleco. Albinos are very nice. Mine eat algae pretty well and you may even get them to breed.
