I got my wild l200 today and Im wanting to do an all purpose parasite treatment and wanted to know if metronidazole and praziquantel are pleco safe.

Both are safe. Metro should deal with flagellates while prazi deals with flukes and cestodes (flatworms).

What's the appearance of its stool?

just got it and it hasn't eaten yet so it hasn't pooped. Is there anything I can use to do internal parasites as a precaution. The fish is 7" at the moment.

Give it a day or two before you feed anything. Add garlic on the food. Do you have access to Jungle Antiparasite food? Don't use it yet once you have it. It's just a precaution. It has metro, prazi and levamisole. Levamisole also sorts nematodes which metro and prazi don't.

Doesn't hurt though to keep metro meds and prazipro just in case. Fish Sempai online has all those you need.

Watch its stool first. Once you do, verify that if it's a little stringy and white, then treat with prazi. Use prazi first. A dosage of 2.5mg per liter is recommended.

k thanks, I've got some cucumber in the tank at the moment and I'll check if it ate any tomorrow morning.

That or lettuce will work. Yes, you can leave them overnight.:)
