Hey Guys,

I would love to introduce stingray(s) into my tank, but already keep some large plecos - 2 x 10" royal Panaques & a 12" Gibbiceps.

Just wondered on their compatability together, and the likelihood of them not getting along?

Can anyone offer some experience in this field?

The tank size is 7'long x 2'deep x 3'high.

Thanks :)

I wouldnt try it at all. I personally, one way or another see that ending badly for either party.

I know someone that keeps both rays and plecos (mainly pseuda's) together with no problem. He currently has 3 rays (7" & two 12"), 4 plecos ( 3 of them being 6"+ / biggest one is 10"), and 4 miscellaneous cichlids. Tank size is 240gal. The trick is to provide space for both. Have driftwood for the plecos that will not take up too much ground space. Find driftwood that will stand up or wood that will take up minimal ground space, elevate the wood somehow by stacking on wood that will stand up on its own. Keep everybody well fed and everybody will coincide peacefully.

That's the Idea, Tiger... Thanks. I am confident I can provide adequate space & conditions for both, so when the time comes, I'll give it a try and keep a close eye on things :)
