Why is 1 of my male Peacock Cichlids LETTING my Pleco suck on it's body? I've never seen this before....

my plecos do that to any fish that dies in my tank, hopefully that's not the case.

The Peacock actually goes and looks for the Pleco to do this......The Peacock looks very healthy

kinky, crazy africans.

no type of fungus or parasite visible on the fish... would be first guess but you said he looks healthy.

maybe just feels good.

The pleco is sucking the slime coat off your peacock...this can cause harm and actually kill a fish if it happens continuesly. I had a pleco that did it to a Senegal bichir I had, the bichir didn't seem to mind, or even swim away for whatever reason...but it is definitly not good for the fish in the long run...

This is what i'm afraid of....

My common pleco will actually hunt down and eat small feeder fish. the first time I ever put feeders in the tank he took 2 down,It shocked the hell out of me!!

The pleco is sucking off the slime coat off the peacock. Not good. Are you feeding the pleco besides having it just eat scraps? They will do that sometimes.
