Hi everyone - I have been avoiding doing this for a long time but I have to offer my plecos to a loving home (pickup). I have been reading and I feel that the folks on this forum really love and take care of their fish pets, so I know my pleco would not be harmed. I have two plecos I bought at Petco 2 years ago - common plecos...sooooo cute- they are now over 6 inches long (pic attached) and I don't even know how to tell what sex they are - but I think our 25 gallon tank is not comfortable for them anymore, and unfortunately getting a bigger tank is not an option right now. I feed them zucchini every other day, algae wafers and glass worms and frozen herbivore mixes...they fight for food and space - just bump each other around..but I think they are happy, just cramped. I feel sad watching them....I think they would do so much better in a bigger tank then they could stay out of each other's way...anyone interested??
