Do pleco's do well with oscars. I've always wanted a big pleco. Nothing fancy just a normal ole pleco at like Petsmart. Do they do well with aggressive big cichlids. Thanks soo much.

I had an oscar in with a pleco for quite a while. Every so often the oscar would try to pluck it off the glass and get tail slapped for hid trouble. They would then be ok until the memory dimmed. Last pair I had lived with several plecos and did not have any type of problems.

Thanks dragonfish. I have a little 2.5 incher in with my frog setup for now. It's a 56 gallon. Had to make sure that he would get torn apart with the Oscars.

As long as the oscars can't swallow it whole you should be ok.

Is there a typo here?

I had a common w/two O's and had no major problems. A little fighting over a flowerpot cave from time to time, but nothing serious. I have also heard of O's being really aggro. and not allowing any tankmates reguardless of body armor.

You could try and get and go with a carniverous pleco. I would try that. If you feed your O's meaty foods, like BW's, krill, or shrimp, the pleco would eat some too.
