While i am not into plecos myself (though i dream of getting a super colored one - don't have cool ones where i live), i have noticed that the sticky post for Pleco types is closed. In any case, there are no pics associated with the various types.

I have come across this website http://www.exoticfinds.net/firstplecopage.html that deals exclusively in plecos and they have pictures associated with each pleco types....errr located in the States (NJ)

This is where i got my inspiration for wanting one cos some of them are really cool looking (unlike the plain black that are available where i live) - soooo much color

Go back to the pleco sp. list sticky and there is a link to a GREAT website called planet catfish. and look at the L numbers Or LDA numbers that's your plecos.

Might I suggest a L24. L25. L14. Or if you like green an L200

You have picked exactly the ones i would have gone for. L273 included.

Yeah, i have seen planetcatfish web - very comprehensive on all catfish ... did not occur to me to look for plecos there ... somehow ^^ i don't think pleco as a cat (even if it is)

Yes indeed they are cats. Planet catfish is a geat source of info.

what do you plan on houseing these guys in if you are abel to getahold of them?

The Queen Arabesque and Gold Nuggets are great, as well as the Tiger Tapajos.

I have three vessels that can hold them. two full glass aquariums (6' and 7') and one outdoor/pond aquarium (needs the most) cos of algae on glass and overall size of tank. Though, i would probably house these indoor because of the pleco's colors and, my fear, of plecos 'sucking' on slow moving fish.

Alas, i have never seen anything but black plecos around here =( the site that i have quoted has all the plecos i want but it has a min. 1000 USD order ... plus, i am not so sure that wild life official here woudl be very thrilled to received a 1000 USD shipment (several speciments) of plecos after there was a sensational news with common plecos (introduced by aquarium owner) wipping out the entire natural pond population in Thailand....
