ive heard that common plecos can scratch acrylic, is this true?
are there any plecos that wont scratch acrylic ive heard bristle plecos are safe for acrylic.

I'm wondering the same thing. I was looking at the Sunshine pleco then saw the teeth they have at planetcatfish.

a couple people have told me that you cant put any plecos in acrylic, it would be nice to get some mfk feedback

I've done it with no problems. Just make sure your plecos have enough to eat, and you won't have many problems.

I still wouldn't do it, especially with Panaque or even Scobis (sunshine is one).

Although i don't doubt WF's exp i have heard enough stories of nice tanks being ruining due to it to warrant not trying it.

Spines and teeth scrape, theirs no doubting that. Can still be dont though, many plecos don't rasp on the side of the glass anyway if they are fed properly.
