Plecos and Acrylic

I just bought a 300 gal acrylic tank and heard that I shouln't put any Plecos in there because they scratch the Acrylic......I need some expert advise...

I'm not an expert on pleco but I used to put my pleco in acrylic tank and there was no problem with scratch at all..

I think it is only certain plecos that can scratch or damage acrylic... maybe pseudos, I could be wrong. The plecos that likes to chomp on woods.

Keep them well fed and you shouldn't have a problem.

I personally seen what an adonis and a royal pleco can do to acrylic and it is not pretty. Common pleco you should be fine but the ones with nice teeth will do damage.
