I heard that plecos have sharp teeth that they use to scrape algae of of glass and that this scraping can easily scratch acrylic. I am thinking of building a tank (1800 g) and am still trying to decide wether to use glass or acrylic

my main pleco tank was glass. i will be switching them to a large acrylic tank...I'm curious to hear the responses from other members. I will say, that I had so much driftwood in my tank that they rarely visited the glass.
