I've have heard Brushynose are good in the hard AC water....
Is there others that can be in slighty hard (7.8 - 8.2) water?
Was hoping maybe a Royal, saw a huge (12"er) at a LFS and looked awesome

your exotic plecos like Royal's do fine in it. just main thing need is temp to be in low 80's at least, and well oxygenated water with powerhead w/venturi injection

Does the temp. really matter? My tank is 78-79 degrees is that close enough or should I bump it up?

Mixed Tang. and Malawi.....
Front, brichardi,Peacocks, Protomelas,Ps. Cabros, Striped Rafael Cat., two syno. cats, and 1 Midas cat. Curently in a 58, being moved to a 110 and probally only Tangs, Cats, and Protomelas. Once the tank has cycled I would like to get the pleco('s) to help w/ algae control on the glass behind the rocks and such.

what about commons
