Can they be kept together? Somewhere i think i read they cant but i cant really remember...

Hi. I have a common pleco with a silver arowana, which has been very peaceful so far. I have read that the Australian arowana can be very aggressive. What kind of arowana are you getting?

i have a 24 incher with 2 rhyno plecos
no problems yet...hopefully never :swear:

I have four silver arowanas with a huge royal pleco and they dont even bother each other. I also kept them with asians and aussies.

Im hoping to get a silver aro, but my mom isnt sure about lettin me get a big tank. I think i might try to build a 315 gallon aquarium. 7'L 3'W 2'D, Is that a good size for one? (and of course some other fish) Maybe one could go in a smaller aquarium? If i built one that big it would take up like 1/3 of my room lol. I thought i read that plecos can suck on to aros, maybe im wrong. Thats what i was worried about. Thanks for the replys!

They will be fine together! Many including me fish hobbyist have kept them together and no problems! One stay at the top and one stay on the bottom!
You are fine with it....

sure they can. my 17 inch asian aro is in the same tank with a 3 inch pleco. so far so good. its all depends on the aro's character.
