And Cory Cats lol Do plecos suck on these fish as well? I have 7 cory cats and 7 yoyo loaches and a BAD algae problem Thinking a bushy nose or two would help.
If you are looking for an algae eater of some kind, I highly recommend otto catfish. They stay small & do a great job. If you're set on a pleco, bristlenose & rubberlip are both good choices. I wouldn't worry about a pleco sucking the slime coat off your loaches. They won't stand for that crap.
Haha thanks guys! Sorry my question was stated all weird. How about my cory cats? Would the bushy nose bother them? Its kinda hard for me to find ottos but bushy nose plecos are everywhere.

No the cory should not be bothered by the pleco, but when you get the pleco watch and see what happens, I have never seen a cory get the slime coat sucked off by a pleco but i'm sure it can happen but it would be on a rare occasion.
Plecos only resort to eating their living tankmates when they are underfed. They need food like any other fish and cannot survive by eating only muck. I have never seen a pleco eating a healthy fish. If a fish dies and falls to the bottom of a tank, then it becomes fair game to whoever gets to the carcass first. So either you aren't feeding your plecos enough, you catch them taking care of the already deceased, or your water has steroids in it.
Bristlenose plecs will work just fine. Yoyos are too boisterous so for something else to suck their slimecoats when they can handle themselves well would be ludicrous.
