Would a full grown Bristle nose pleco be eaten by an oscar , and if so wouldn't it be Dangerous for an oscar to eat?

well it's not full grown yet , it's in a grow out tank till it reaches about 6 inches. I planned to put him in with my oscar and senegal bichir when he reaches his full size.

it will be fine together. no worries. i have a pleco with my oscar also. just dont put a very small one in there that would fit in its mouth.

both my oscar and bichir are really messy would adding a few larger malaysian trumpet snails be better choice? , Because I don't need any more fish waste then my oscar already produces and especially not from a pleco. ALso the Snails Burrow themself into the sand and help to oxygenate the plant roots.

Plecos produce a bunch of waste, it is actually amazing how much poop they can unload.

If your tank is already at it's limit, then I would advise against adding a pleco. Unless you are willing to up the filtration and cleaning of the tank.

ive tried several plecos in my oscar tank with no luck he always go's after them and they end up with torn fins but ive seen MANY tanks that they have no prob together

i too have a oscar in with my pleco and they dont even rlly notice each other

this pleco almost destroyed my GT lol
