plecos and payara?

i was thinking of adding a watermelon pleco and a sailfin pleco withmy two seven inch red tailed payara,yellowtailed barracuda,juruense catfish and silverdollars is this a good or bad idea?

would it be okay to add the plecos with the payaras becuase i heard they can suck slime coating off other fish the plecos would be in between five and seven inches and the payaras are about seven inches so would there be any problems
 
i think that'd be fine, plecos are notorious for sucking slime coat but usually on bottom dwellers like rays or bichirs. they should be fine with your payara depending on their personality/aggression.
 
The larger species of Plecos are more suspect (Trinadads, Royals, Gibbicepps, Rhinos,etc..) The smaller ornimentals not so much - my Charciforme tank has had a Vampire Pleco and a Gold Nugget plec in there for years. If anything the Characins are more suspect as they nip and chase the plecos.
