Does any one have pleco's in their ponds.Do they mess up the pond liners like they mess up acrylic tanks? If they do I need some suggestions on algae eaters for a pond with cats and rays.

I've had them eat thru everything (or atleast try :screwy:).

Keep some different kinds of driftwood in the pond and feed them veggies.

Place plants in the pond for algae control along with a good UV and clean often.

Probably not the first answer that you wanted to hear ;).

You can try a bunch of Crossocheilus siamensis (Siamese algae eater)

Make sure you don't get Epalzeorhynchus sp. (false Siamensis).

I've got three plecos in my pond which is actually a above ground swimming pool. It's made on thick vinyl I think and is much the same as a pond liner. They've not eaten it yet, their too busy eating all the plants in there...
