From reading other threads I noticed something- it looks like some people have had trouble with keeping plecos with puffers. I tried in my 55g with 1 SAP. He killed 2- 2in plecos over night. All the fins and tails gone. He was only 3/4 in. at the time. Never killed another fish and not a big fin nipper. I haven't tried any plecos again with my other puffers. All I can figure is plecos must taste like snail or something. Anyone else have an experience with keeping plecos with puffers?

I have a 6" Royal pleco in with my A modestus, who wiped out a tank of smaller fish. the pleco rarely moves from his spot. i also have a fahaka puffer living with a 12" goldspot & a 6" sailfin, but my fahaka is quite a rarity.
have a 4" marbled pleco with my 4" fahaka at the moment

I keep a bushynose pleco with my 5" Fahaka, but the pleco hides under a rock all day. His job is algae removal anyway.
