hey guys, i have three 4 inch rbp and i have a 5-6 inch common pleco. could i stick my pleco with them? ive heard of it done before but i sorta want a good anyser so my pleco doesnt turn into piranha poop. thanks, Matt

you already did a thread like this.

some people have luck, some don't. i've never had a problem with rbp's, just kept them well fed and they left em alone. but soon as i got rid of the reds and put a rhom in... piranha poop

and i never got a straight anyser

That's because the answer below is pretty much the fact of life. Some people have had success, some haven't. Take me for example, pleco lived until they broke the thermometer and i was never able to successfully introduce another one...how's that for a straight answer? Same tank, some piranhas, different results

well thanks for the help guys. i might attempt to put the pleco in once iput my rtc in my "big fish" tank. ill let ya guys know how eferything goes when i do it!

i feed my reds quite well and they still killed the pleco I put in. I'd advise against it honestly. I use a magnetic scraper for the algae and it works fine.
